Farmina is Italian, manufactured at its own plant near Naples, and its recipes are built around a low-glycaemic approach with a high proportion of animal protein. Grain free is not automatically better

It suits dogs with a demonstrated grain sensitivity. For everything else the Ancestral Grain recipes, which use spelt and oats rather than wheat or maize, are a sound and usually cheaper choice.

Delivery and returns

Farmina products are delivered anywhere in Hyderabad the same day, between 10 AM and 6 PM. Orders placed after 4:30 PM arrive next day by 12 PM. Delivery is free on orders over ₹799 in Hyderabad. Common questions

What is the difference between Grain Free and Ancestral Grain?

Ancestral Grain includes low-glycaemic grains, spelt and oats, at a modest inclusion. Grain Free replaces them with pumpkin or other low-starch carbohydrates. Both keep animal protein high; the choice matters only if your pet has a demonstrated grain sensitivity.

Is Farmina better than Royal Canin?

They are built on different philosophies. Farmina leads on ingredient quality and protein proportion; Royal Canin leads on precise formulation for size, breed and diagnosed conditions. For a healthy pet either works, and in the therapeutic ranges the choice should follow your vet's advice.

Where is Farmina made?

At the company's own facility in Italy, near Naples, rather than under contract manufacture. That is part of why it is priced above Indian-made brands.

Which Farmina line should I start with?

For a healthy dog or cat, N&D. For a diagnosed condition, Vet Life and only on veterinary advice. For an everyday cat food at a lower cost per kilo, Matisse.
