More about litter mat
Litter mats
A litter mat sits outside the tray and catches the granules your cat carries out on its paws, so less litter ends up across your floor.

Common questions
Where should a litter mat go?
Place it right at the tray entrance, so your cat has to step across it on the way out. For a hooded tray, put the mat under the doorway.
How do I clean a litter mat?
Shake it out or vacuum it every few days, and wash it with mild soap and water when it looks dirty.
Which litter tracks the least?
Larger granules track less than fine clay or sand. A mat helps with any litter type.
