Introduction
Cuddle Paws Co Private Limited ("Cuddle Paws", "we", "us", or "our") is a private limited company incorporated under the laws of India. We operate a retail pet store and digital commerce platform at www.cuddle-paws.in, providing pet food, accessories, grooming, boarding, and veterinary support services to pet owners in the Gachibowli and HITEC City corridor in Hyderabad, Telangana.
We take the privacy of our customers and visitors seriously. This Privacy and Data Protection Policy ("Policy") explains what information we collect, how we use and protect it, and the rights you hold in relation to your personal data.
This Policy is drafted in accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011 ("SPDI Rules"), and other applicable Indian laws. It constitutes an electronic record within the meaning of the Information Technology Act, 2000 and requires no physical, electronic, or digital signature from Cuddle Paws.
By accessing or using our Platform, registering for an account, or availing any of our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree, please refrain from using the Platform.
Scope
This Policy applies to:
- All visitors to the Platform, whether or not they hold an account with us.
- Registered users who purchase products or avail services through the Platform or in our physical store.
- Individuals who contact us via phone, email, WhatsApp, or any other communication channel.
- Pet boarding, grooming, and veterinary customers whose personal and pet-related data we process.

Personal information you provide
When you register, place orders, or interact with us, you may provide:

- Pet-related data including your pet's name, species, breed, age, and medical or dietary history — collected only to personalise your service experience.

- Feedback, reviews, or survey responses you voluntarily submit.
Automatically collected technical data
When you access the Platform, our servers automatically record certain technical information, including:
- IP address and approximate geographic location (derived from IP).
- Browser type, version, and operating system.
- Pages visited, time spent, and navigation patterns.
- Referring URLs and exit pages.
- Device identifiers, mobile carrier, and application version (for mobile users).

Location data

Bluetooth permissions
If you enable Bluetooth while using the Platform, we may collect device identifiers to enhance in-store experiences such as check-in services. You may manage Bluetooth permissions through your device settings at any time.
How we use your data

- Account creation, authentication, and management of your customer profile.
- Processing and fulfilling orders, including scheduling grooming appointments, boarding stays, and veterinary consultations.
- Personalising your experience, including recommending products suited to your pet's profile.

- Providing customer support and responding to queries, complaints, and feedback.
- Sending promotional offers, newsletters, and marketing communications where you have opted in or where we have a legitimate interest — you may opt out at any time.

- Active customer account data is retained for the lifetime of your account plus a reasonable period thereafter.

- Grooming, boarding, and veterinary records may be retained for as long as your pet's care history remains relevant or as required by applicable professional standards.
- Marketing consent records are retained until you withdraw consent and for a reasonable period thereafter for compliance purposes.
When retention is no longer necessary, we securely delete or anonymise your data.

Even after opting out of marketing, you will continue to receive essential transactional messages such as order confirmations, booking reminders, and security alerts, as these are necessary to fulfil our contractual obligations to you.
By registering with us, you acknowledge that you may receive communications from Cuddle Paws even if your mobile number is registered under India's DND / DNC / NCPR scheme, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Third-party websites
The Platform may contain links to external websites, social media platforms, or third-party service providers. These linked resources are not under our control and this Policy does not apply to their data practices. We recommend reviewing the privacy policies of any third-party platform you access via a link on our Platform. We are not liable for the data handling practices, content, or security measures of any third party.
Grievance redressal
In accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the SPDI Rules, we have appointed a Grievance Redressal Officer to address concerns relating to this Policy or the processing of your personal data.
Children's privacy
Our Platform is not directed at children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect, process, or store personal data from minors without verifiable parental or legal guardian consent. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has submitted personal information to us without your knowledge, please contact us immediately at info@cuddle-paws.com so we can take appropriate action.
Amendments
We reserve the right to update or revise this Policy at any time to reflect changes in our business practices, technology, or legal requirements. Governing law
