In Hyderabad summer, for any dog walked on pavement in daylight, they help considerably. The alternative is walking only before 8 AM and after 7 PM, which is what most owners do.

How do I measure my dog's paw?

Stand the dog on paper with weight on the foot, mark either side of the widest point, and measure across. Do it while standing, not with the paw lifted.

Will socks stop my old dog slipping?

On tile and marble, yes. Non-slip socks or paw grips give traction that a bare pad cannot get on polished floors.

How do I know if paws are burnt?

Limping, licking, darker or red pads, and blisters. Keep the dog off hot surfaces and see a vet — burnt pads get infected easily.
