Leashes and leads

Lead choice affects control, safety and how much a dog pulls. We stock 76 leads — rope, webbing, chain, retractable, training long lines and hands-free designs for dogs and cats.

Four to six feet for everyday

Long enough for a dog to move naturally, short enough to keep them out of traffic. This is the right lead for almost all city walking.

Retractables teach pulling

Constant tension rewards leaning into the lead, and the thin cord causes serious friction injuries when it wraps around a limb. Best avoided.

Long lines for recall training

A 10 metre line in open ground lets a dog range while you keep control. Use with a harness, never a collar — a dog hitting the end at speed can injure its neck.

Check the clip, not the strap

Leads fail at the trigger clip far more often than the webbing. Inspect the spring monthly, especially on a strong dog.

Delivery and returns

Leashes are delivered anywhere in Hyderabad in 60 to 90 minutes, between 10 AM and 8 PM. Orders placed after 6:30 PM arrive next day by 12 PM. Delivery is free on Hyderabad orders over ₹799, and free over ₹999 across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. We ship pan-India. Unused items in original packaging can be returned within 7 days.

Common questions

What length lead is best?

Four to six feet for daily walking. Anything longer reduces control near roads; anything shorter restricts natural movement.

Are retractable leads safe?

They have a poor safety record — cord burns, dropped handles and dogs reaching roads before the brake engages. A fixed lead is safer and better for training.

Rope or webbing?

Rope has more give, which is kinder on your hands with a strong dog. Flat webbing is lighter and tangles less. Both work; grip comfort decides.

Can I attach a lead to my cat's collar?

Never. Cat collars are designed to break away under pressure, which is exactly what you do not want on a lead. Use a cat harness instead.
