IATA approval for flying

Airlines require specific dimensions, ventilation on multiple sides and metal door hardware. Check the airline's current rules before buying — they differ and they change.

Never loose in a car

An unrestrained pet is a projectile in a collision and a distraction before one. Use a crash-tested car harness or a secured crate.

Heat is the real risk

A parked car in Hyderabad reaches lethal temperatures within minutes, even in shade with windows cracked. Never leave a pet in one, however briefly.

How do I get my cat into a carrier?

Leave it out permanently with familiar bedding and feed treats inside it for a fortnight. For an urgent trip, a top-loading carrier lets you lower the cat in rather than pushing them forward.

What size carrier does my pet need?

Large enough to stand, turn around and lie down flat. Oversized is not better for car travel — a snug fit reduces sliding and helps most animals feel secure.

Can I take my pet on a flight in India?

Several Indian carriers permit it in cabin or cargo with health certificates and an IATA-compliant crate. Rules vary by airline and change often, so confirm directly before booking.

My dog gets car sick. What helps?

Travel on an empty stomach, keep the car cool, face the dog forward and take short practice trips. Persistent motion sickness responds well to prescribed anti-nausea medication — ask our vet.
