Calming aids for anxious pets

Diwali, thunderstorms, separation and car travel account for most anxiety cases we see in Hyderabad, and the firework season is genuinely severe here. We stock 34 calming products — pheromone diffusers and sprays, oral supplements, calming treats and anxiety wraps.

Start before Diwali, not during

Pheromone diffusers and most calming supplements need one to two weeks to reach full effect. Beginning on the day of the fireworks is too late to help.

Build a safe space

A covered crate or interior room with familiar bedding, curtains drawn and background sound masks both flashes and noise. Let the pet choose to go there rather than confining them.

Pheromones are species-specific

Dog appeasing pheromone does nothing for cats and feline facial pheromone does nothing for dogs. Buy the one matching your species.

Know when it needs medication

Severe noise phobia and true separation anxiety often need prescription medication alongside behaviour work. Supplements alone rarely resolve them. Ask our vet at the Gachibowli store.

Delivery and returns

Calming products are delivered anywhere in Hyderabad in 60 to 90 minutes, between 10 AM and 8 PM. Orders placed after 6:30 PM arrive next day by 12 PM. Delivery is free on Hyderabad orders over ₹799, and free over ₹999 across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. We ship pan-India. Sealed packs can be returned within 7 days. Opened supplements and sprays cannot be returned.

What helps a dog scared of fireworks?

Start a pheromone diffuser and calming supplement one to two weeks before Diwali, prepare a covered safe space with sound masking, and keep windows shut. Severe cases need prescription medication arranged in advance.

Do calming treats actually work?

For mild situational stress like car travel or a visitor, often yes. For genuine phobia or separation anxiety, they help at the margin but are not sufficient alone.

How long does a pheromone diffuser take?

Some effect within a few days, full effect around two weeks. One diffuser covers roughly one room, so place it where the pet spends most time.

My dog destroys things when I leave. Is that anxiety?

Possibly, though boredom looks similar. True separation anxiety usually starts within minutes of departure and includes vocalising, drooling or toileting indoors. It responds to behaviour modification, not punishment.
