Farmina Vet Life

Vet Life is Farmina's therapeutic range, for animals with a diagnosed condition and generally under veterinary direction. It covers most of the categories the imported therapeutic brands do, usually at a lower cost. We stock 41 Vet Life products for dogs and cats, and our vet is on site at Gachibowli.

Gastrointestinal and Convalescence

Highly digestible formulas for digestive upset and for recovery after illness or surgery, in both dry and wet form. There is a puppy gastrointestinal formula, which matters for a growing dog that still needs to grow.

Renal, Struvite and Oxalate

Renal controls phosphorus for diagnosed kidney disease. Struvite and Oxalate work by shifting urine chemistry in opposite directions, so the stone type must be identified before choosing between them.

UltraHypo and Hypoallergenic

UltraHypo uses hydrolysed protein; the Fish and Potato formulas use a single novel protein instead. Both are elimination diets and only work if nothing else is fed alongside them.

Obesity, Diabetic, Hepatic, Joint, Cardiac

The rest of the range covers weight management, glucose control, liver support, joint support and cardiac formulas, for dogs and in several cases cats. Ask our vet which fits your pet's diagnosis.

Delivery and returns

Farmina Vet Life formulas are delivered anywhere in Hyderabad in 60 to 90 minutes, between 10 AM and 8 PM. Orders placed after 6:30 PM arrive next day by 12 PM. Delivery is free on Hyderabad orders over ₹799, and free over ₹999 across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. We ship pan-India. Sealed items can be returned within 7 days; opened products cannot.

Common questions

Do I need a prescription?

We will supply Vet Life, but these are therapeutic diets for diagnosed conditions. If your pet has not been examined we will recommend a consultation first. Dr. Badawath Pavankumar is at the Gachibowli store.

How does Vet Life compare with Royal Canin Veterinary Diet?

The categories broadly correspond and Vet Life is generally less expensive. The formulations are not identical, so if your vet specified a particular diet, check with them before switching. We stock both ranges.

What is the difference between UltraHypo and the Fish and Potato formula?

UltraHypo hydrolyses protein into fragments too small for the immune system to recognise. Fish and Potato instead uses a single protein the animal has probably never eaten. Both are valid elimination approaches; which suits depends on diet history.

Can I feed this long term?

Some formulas are intended for long-term management and others for a defined period. Renal and cardiac diets are usually lifelong once started; gastrointestinal and convalescence formulas are usually not. Confirm the intended duration with your vet.
